She opens up about her own life, sharing how she had to give up her career after marrying Parag because Baa (the family matriarch) didn’t allow her to work. Khyati regrets not being able to fulfill her parents’ dreams, especially after they worked so hard to educate her.
Baa accuses Anupama of putting ideas into Khyati’s head, while Parag claims he’s given Khyati everything she could ever want. Khyati hits back with a strong statement: “A golden cage is still a cage.” She urges Parag to let Prem live his life and even challenges him, asking if he’d ever leave his business to become a caterer. Baa tries to shut Khyati down, but Meeta, who’s studying for her MBA, speaks up. She questions why her father spent so much on her education if she’s not allowed to work.
