The episode begins with Kartik calling Anupama and asking her to prepare food for the prisoners. Anupama tells him that the prisoners cook their own meals, but Kartik explains that outside food is also allowed. He invites her to meet him if she’s interested, leaving Anupama confused. However, she decides to focus on Rahi’s wedding instead. Moti Baa is excited and says she will dance at Prem’s wedding. Badshah comments that Baa doesn’t like dancing, but she clarifies that she only dislikes certain dance styles.
Meanwhile, Leela asks Rahi to light lamps around the house as part of a tradition. Ansh requests Rahi to record her voice so they can listen to it when she’s gone. Rahi reveals she has already recorded messages for the Shah family. She then asks Leela and Hasmukh to take care of Anupama. As the Kothari family celebrates Prem’s baraat, the Shahs prepare to welcome them. The Kotharis insist on celebrating outside before entering the house, which makes Rahi happy. Seeing Prem reminds Anupama of Anuj. Rahi gets upset when Leela tells her to stay inside, as she wants to dance. Meanwhile, Gautam teases Prathana.
Rahi notices her makeup and hair are messy and rushes to fix them. Anupama performs a ritual with Prem and explains its importance. Pakhi follows with her own ritual. The Shahs warmly welcome the Kotharis. Gautam ignores Anupama, but she chooses to enjoy the moment before Rahi’s farewell. Rahi, excited about her wedding, suddenly falls. The Kotharis appreciate the Shahs’ arrangements. Prem, thinking of Anuj, decides to recite poetry for the Shahs, just like Anuj once did. Parag worries that Anupama’s involvement might harm Rahi and Prem’s relationship, but Khyati defends Anupama, saying she’s different from other mothers. Parag hopes Khyati is right.
Ansh, Hasmukh, and Paritosh discuss Gautam’s rude behavior, with Hasmukh calling him arrogant. Anil and Meeta overhear but don’t take it seriously. Badshah compliments Radha, but she ignores him. Anupama starts thinking about what she’s missing and finds herself remembering Anuj. Moti Baa tells Anupama that everything is going perfectly according to her status. She gives Anupama the responsibility of keeping a special wedding sheet safe, and Paritosh offers to help. Anupama warns him to be careful. When Leela asks Anupama to bring Rahi for the wedding rituals, Anupama goes to Rahi’s room—only to be shocked by what she sees.
